At Vinagra Village, nature has once again gifted us a magical moment — the birth of a baby donkey! This adorable new addition to our eco-farm arrived in the early morning hours, bringing joy and excitement to everyone on the property.

There’s something truly special about witnessing new life emerge in such a serene and natural setting. As the sun rose over the rolling fields of Vinagra, we watched in awe as the baby donkey took its very first steps. Wobbly but determined, this little one quickly won our hearts with its soft brays and curious nature.
A Symbol of Regeneration & Harmony
Vinagra Village is built on principles of sustainability and a deep connection with nature, and the arrival of this baby donkey is a beautiful reminder of the harmony that exists here. Donkeys have been an integral part of traditional farm life in Alentejo for centuries, known for their resilience, intelligence, and gentle nature.

The mother donkey, a calm and nurturing presence, has been attentive and loving, ensuring her little one feels safe and secure. We are giving them plenty of space to bond, but it’s hard not to sneak in a few affectionate pats when we see them together!
